Mate1.com - Three things you need to know

Three things you need to know about the dating service Mate1.com

1. When you first arrive you will start on a page that uses sophisticated geo-targeting so you can begin your tour with a search of local profiles. Along with the search results, and you should get several hundred profiles of local singles in your area at the minimum (if you don’t then comment on this post and let’s take a closer look). You do have to become at least a free member at this point. Bet you didn’t know that!

2. I highly suggest the 72 hour $1.95 membership. This will give you 72 hours to start messaging dozens of interesting members before you decide to become a monthly premium member.

3. Besides having more than 18 million members (this total includes all members that have logged into their accounts at least once in 60 days) the biggest feature Mate1.com is their instant chat. But, you have to be a premium member to chat, so you can still send free flirts to women or men members you like.

Why would I suggest Mate1.com as a great dating service for you to join?

Simple: With 18 million members many will be local to you and meeting interesting members is almost guaranteed, it’s worth the $49.95 a month to send messages to the friendly members that you find interesting as well as spending some time in some one-on-one chats with online members. Get dates here, because this is where men and women find themselves online meeting and moving quickly to real world dates!

If you like it…. Shouldn’t your match like it too?

Common ground.

This is what “compatibility matching” means in it’s simplest terms.

Many dating services offer this uniquely binding feature, because, quite simply, what appeals to you will also appeal to someone like you.

Not to say that differences don’t matter, they do. But in the BIG PICTURE OF LOVE knowing that someone else shares the same ideals, goals and values as you do will make a world of, no a life, of difference in the love of your life.

Finding that “perfect match” is hard work too.

First you meet and date people in your teens and twenties. If you’re not living with someone, or already married, later on the choice of available, likable partners rapidly decreases.

Online dating helps not only to widen the pool of acceptable mates but also provides the introductions based on what you like, knowing that, again, what appeals to you will also appeal to someone like you.

So dive in, take the “compatibility challenge” and spend some quality time answering never-ending (seemingly) compatibility match questionnaires.

And find the love of your life!

Mate1 Sued For Sex Discrimination

Mate1.com is being sued in California Federal court for sex discrimination an the basis of Mate1.com allowing free membership to women but only paid memberships to men (after a short free trial period). Lawsuit PDF courtesy of “Online Personals Watch“.
This is the same type of thing that brought about udate.com’s demise. The site was in the top five of dating services when the suit sexual discrimination suit was started. The suit was eventually settled (if memory serves me correctly) and shortly after that was gobbled up by Match.com’s parent company to be part of InterActiveCorp.
I really liked Mate1.com but I felt that sooner or later they would be exposed to this lawsuit because of their practices. What is allowed in some counties/states is illegal elsewhere. And I think the eventual end of this lawsuit will be the same as udate.com‘s was. A lengthy delay and a settlement.
