Pain-free: Dating Profile of the Day

2010's last pumpkin picture
I hope you had a good Halloween weekend.
I expect to hear soon from all the “candy conspiracy buffs” explaining loudly how the candy makers have us all by the balls, during a rather predictable “candy gifting” calendar and the lack of reasonable gifts under $20.00 for people you just don’t give a damn about any more.
That being said, I’d also like to offer a chocolaty thank you to all the kids that didn’t appear at my door last night so I now have a reasonable stash of mini candy bars for a while.
Next on the calendar is Thanksgiving, Black Friday and then, of course, Christmas. Of course don’t forget that winter will be mixed in which also means that next Sunday clocks fall back and we’ll get an hour of extra sleep on payment of sunset at 4:30 and earlier until the winter solstice on December 21. Now the extra hour sleep is one thing I like about fall.
Wow that’s a lot of info for one post (feel free to read a couple of times and maybe email to a friend or two too).
So let’s skip ahead to today’s dating profile headline:
“Do you know a pain-free way to get spirit-gum off the face?”
Have a great day!
Halloween: Dating Profile Headline of the Day
Happy Halloween
I wasn’t sure if we’d make it this far along in the calendar but here we are, the funnest day of the year, besides Christmas morning and all of those presents to open. That’s coming soon enough.
Halloween, scaring the spirits back to their resting place so we day/night people can live in a world without fear of the dead coming back to haunt us.
I like this idea, for sure.
You might have been our celebrating Halloween yesterday night, which is just fine for us adults, but today the young ones take over. I always waver about giving away candy for free to groups of kids I don’t see the rest of the year. Is Halloween the payment policy for living without the little brats being in the way the other 364 days of the year? I’ll have to consider this and expand on it in a later post.
Today we’re talking your dating profile headline and writing one that will get you a fair amount of attention. Without a nice picture and a fun headline your profile is almost certain to be overlooked and passed by, maybe The One won’t find you because of a poorly written headline. Now that is a truly scary thought.
Today I suggest you post this as your headline:
“Can I tell you a Halloween story?”
Have a great Halloween!

Congrats to all involved in a job well done. 33 miners saved after 69 days trapped 2,300 feet under the surface.
I won’t even to attempt to describe what has gone through their minds and the personal demons they fought to maintain hope and sanity. I’ll wait for the book or movie, or both.
Where I live mining and forestry support a big part of the local economy and this rescue event has changed a lot of talk around the dinner table in recent weeks, for a lot of my friends, certainly.
OK, enough slobbering on.
The point of this blog is to offer you a decent option, or example, to post as your online dating profile headline. Your headline and picture are the first things that someone browsing the personal ads, or reviewing search results, will see and if you want to beat all the competition for attention (go ahead and search for your profile, you’ll see what I mean) you need to stand out.
Loudly and with humor.
With Halloween around the corner feel free to get dressed up and (while avoiding the mask or facial makeup, you can include those complete costume photos in your profile photo album) take a few shots and pick one to be your primary photo. Not too many guys or gals are doing this yet so you’ll be ahead of the competition and just might score a Halloween party date early.
And for your headline try this today:
“Costume: check. Party: check. Party partner: Just one message away.”
Have a great day!

Hump Day’s Motivational Picture
There is only one thing that’s going to get me through the rest of the week, including the fact that I only work 32 hours this week and call it 40… and that is that we’re less than 54 days until Halloween. This year I will dress up as a vampire, because, all the TV shows and movies can’t be wrong… they’re just so cool!
And the women are pretty hot too!Whoopee!!!!
The scariest mask of all time!
Yes, it’s that time again….
Halloween is just around the corner and as I was going through my old Halloween party pictures one item kept popping up, in picture after picture was the Freddy Krueger mask.

I do believe that it’s the scariest mask ever made. What do you think?
You can buy your own at Buycostumes.com (and yes, I’ll make about a dollar if you purchase it from the link.)
OH-MY-GOD Halloween Chocolate Cheesecake
Here’s a recipe for Halloween I’d like to share with you, it’s called the “Oh-My-God Halloween Chocolate Cheesecake” and it’s easy to make. Here’s how:
Crust:
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups chocolate graham cracker crumbs
about 2 tablespoons sugar
Filling:
3 packages cream cheese, room temperature
3 eggs
apprx 2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa powder unsweetened
Using a Springform pan, melt about 2 tablespoons of butter, add about 1 1/2 cups of chocolate graham cracker crumbs, and mix in 2 tablespoons sugar. Stir well with a fork and press into the bottom of the pan.
With an electric mixer, mix three packages cream cheese, with three eggs and about 2 cups of sugar. Add cocoa powder. Pour this into the pan, on top of the crust and bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes. Its pretty much done when a toothpick inserted in it comes out clean, but I like to leave it in about five to ten minutes
longer because the cheesecake takes on a wonderful fudge brownie-like consistency on the top layer. The center will be a bit wiggly but will firm up as it cools. Let it cool and remove the form from the pan.
Also, If you put a pan of water in the oven, on the bottom rack, while the cheesecake is baking, the cheesecake is much less likely to crack.
(You can add the Halloween flare by using some orange icing or sprinkling a few candy corns on top.)
Enjoy!
