This Week’s Conversation Topics

Top stories for the week
To make hot conversation
And help you get laid

Yes, it’s been a full week, lots to talk about. So, once again, here are the rules of this post: read the articles and my witty remarks, follow through by reading the actual story linked in the headline. And enjoy the fact of knowledge and knowing that you’ll have some interesting conversation topics at the ready.

- Google evades billions in taxes. Their new unofficial motto is now “Do no evil, the capitalist way”. By using Ireland’s tax laws for businesses Google is able to pay Google and save billions in taxes that would otherwise be paid in America.

- President Bill Clinton lost nuke codes. It’s a good thing that he kept his pecker in his pants at least… oh wait… he lost the nuclear launch code card and his pecker escaped? Nasty, to say the least.

- Surprising sex facts. Fact #1: you’re not getting any. These other 11 sex facts will help you get past this first one. Really, read this article and discuss it with your mates.

Have a great week!

A breath of fresh air

A breath of fresh air

At any time, in any place,
you might need to start a conversation.

Now, for a lot of people this isn’t a problem but if you’re like me having something to talk about takes work and effort. You need to be reading and paying attention to a lot of details. Or you need to know a lot about just a few things to be considered “knowledgeable” without being conceited or condescending towards others.

This post will give you a heads-up on a couple of current news stories that provide fodder for interesting conversations so you have something to say when the time comes for you to say something. So continue reading and feel free to use my comments about the stories as you see fit.

- Man stabbed when he doesn’t let his friends suck his blood. Well, really, he did let them suck his blood once so what’s his problem now? It is hard to find dependable friends these days isn’t it?

- Robot cars are among us. Google, the “Do no evil” mega-internet giant has been field testing robot cars for “unknown purposes” for a while now, on US streets. My fear is what happens if the robot cars decide to take over? Will Google’s unofficial motto be changed to “Yes we can”?

- Streaker arrested. Not just any nude runner, but the guy that tried to show off his gonads to President Obama for a cool $1 million dollars in prize money. Had I only known, either I’d have had my camera ready or tried to win the money myself…

Have a great day!

Friday’s Conversation Topic

This has been a hectic week for a lot of people in the news, from Kim Kardashian’s nude photos to Pastor Terry Jones wanting to burn Islam’s most holy book. If you’re usually at a loss in a conversation, where to start, when to jump in with an opinion, help is here.

Start reading and have a topic ready to converse about. You are welcome (in advance).

- Science offers the keys to sexy dancing. It was only a matter of time, really, before scientists told us what makes you attractive when you dance. Using motion technology the sexy dance is now laid bare for everyone to learn. All of the “two-left-footed” people are still excused.

- Sex toy study creates buzz. I know what you’re thinking and yes, this is about sex, even safer sex, not threesomes or anything like that. It’s surprising that they know so much about sex at the university level and how much they want to learn about women and their sex toy usage.

- Accounting rules gives GM $30 billion from nothing. If you’re planning on buying stock when the IPO happens, or if your broker suggests this, you’d better read this article and it’s quick lesson about fancy accounting rules and GM’s valuable “goodwill”.

- Court rules petty theft not a reason to be fired from job. Man wins back job after being sacked for charging his segway at work at a cost of 1.8 euro cents (2 pennies). Yeah, I know what you’re thinking… at least he wasn’t handing out porn pens to 6 year-olds.

- Google introduces search computer chip that can be implanted in brain. Your kid not smart enough? If he can figure out how to ask the question he’ll instantly have the answer with this latest Google product. “Do no evil” (Google’s unofficial motto), yeah, right.

Have a great weekend.

Transition roadable aircraft

Hi and I hope you are well.

I have some great news stories from the past week to share with you, so I hope you’re reading for some reading!

- 10 hottest swimsuits. What’s better to start with than the hottest 10 swimsuits ever? You can’t do better than this list for a long, and hopefully exciting, weekend.

- Google folds to Chinese government. So much for “Do no evil” Google folds for cash ahead of, well, doing no evil.

- White Guy Window Dressing - Is this how they do business in China? Where can I apply? I have all the “no-references needed” needed.

- I might get my flying car yet! Only about 18 months until the Transition Roadable Aircraft (plane/car hybrid) by Terrafugia get’s into production. If you want to know where my next $200k goes, it’s here!

- Oxycotin and my tweets. I think that any romantic overtones, no matter if sent by voice, text or tweet, can make someone feel that “special feeling”. Discerning whether a tweet can do it or if it’s nonsense, is indeed nonsense. Sometimes you have to just “know it’s right” and be satisfied.

Have a great weekend!

Friday and The Weekend

I want you to be prepared to talk up a storm this weekend. Current events can fascinate a crowd, or a single person, when you can talk about what’s interesting about what has happened in the past week.

So I have this blog for you, to talk about current events and be interesting and maybe gain a new friend or two. Because I like you.

So you’ll want to read these articles so you have something to talk about:

- Twitter keeps the Bangkok uprising updated to followers. News has now reached light speed, as long as you agree, or have a viewpoint, about the writer and their perspective on what’s happening.

- Canadian tracks down US spy plane. The story is great and all that, but am I the only one that wonders what Mr.Molczan’s age is, being that he lives with his mother, what with the New York Times and Wired fame and all?

- If I could do anything, I would… get a big college scholarship and a netbook and a computer lab for my school… congrats to Makenzie Melton, a talented doodler. Google, still “doing no wrong?” or is this just a cover-up story to put a smile on their sneering world domination plans?

- Traveling? Buy gold as a gift in this latest ATM idea. GOLD to go is growing a business of gold dispensing ATMs in airports around the world. With updated gold prices every 10 minutes you can watch your investment, in physical gold coins and other bullion styles, you can watch your investment grow while waiting to board your plane (or lose value). I hope my parents need to get me a last minute gift while they’re stuck in an Italian airport! LOL

- Why men and women get married - by Forbes.com. Is it all a financial decision these days? Do love and money go together with a proposal and a future? If you’re broke does it mean you’ll be forever single and picking out apples from the bottom of the barrel? This is an interesting question to answer for singles that see no end to their singledom.

You’re welcome!
:-)

Friday’s Fun Conversation Topics

Friday's party hat

As you prepare to head out on the town tonight, or over to a party, you need to have some fun topics to talk about. Good for you, you’ve come to the right place. In this weekly post we look back at popular news stories and provide you all you need to be up-to-date when it’s your turn to talk about something interesting. Visit us every Friday for these conversation stories and every day for more great stuff to make your single and/or dating life better understood.

So, let’s get right to it:

- Senator caught with porn on laptop. My concern isn’t whether the senator clicked away from the partially clad women quick enough, or that he was caught watching porn during an abortion debate, it is that he has friends (the senator wouldn’t click a link in an email he didn’t recognize, would he?) that feel it entirely appropriate to send him porn links, knowing he’s a senator and all that… egad!

- Betty White to appear this weekend on ‘Saturday Night Live’. The 88 year old actress also says very little nudity in her appearance on the show. Egad again…

- Corey Haim died of pneumonia. I knew Corey back in the 80′s, when I clerked at a billiard parlor and he was just finishing filming of “The Lost Boys“. I remember he came back to Toronto to invite some friends to a private screening of the film. He was a precocious kid, he liked to have friends. I hate to think that was the reason he died, but he like of being liked was only a contributing factor. May he rest well.

Beaver

- World’s largest beaver dam visible from space. Slow news week? Nope, but digging into what was first reported in 2007 is a step forward, I think. Anyways, this beaver dam, more than 8 football fields long, can be viewed using Google and NASA technology (appropriate links and imagery in the news article). I wonder if this real-world-wonder will be awarded some type of award, not that the beavers would care, I guess.

- The last one….. DMV employees busted for selling fake IDs and bad vehicle titles. Another story of the civil servant run amok? Or just that these illegal ways to boost their pay was to easy to pull off? Another story of government employees policing themselves and getting their hand caught in the glovebox. LOL

Have a great weekend!

Friday’s Conversation Topics

This week has been a great one, news-wise. If you haven’t kept up, no matter, I have the most important newsworthy conversation topics for you to read right here:

- Unnamed sources say that Google, along with Sony and the processor manufacturer Intel will be working together to bring parts of the internet to your TV. Why does this seem like news? Don’t all the tech junkies already have their TV hooked up to a computer or a gaming system that has the internet? Geesh. And here.

- Nude guy arrested in cemetery. Cemetery overlooks city, as if that detail matters.

- Why a British study about the “G-Spot” should be ignored. And where you’re going to find this pleasure button, guys! And guys, if you can’t find it, there’s always toys!

- Why you’re not going to like the movie “the Bounty Hunter”. Even if you haven’t seen it yet or have an opinion of it yet.

- Stop thief - Stop that baboon! Yes, complete with pictures, baboon steals purse from car.
