Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Sharing our social light in the darkness.

Sharing our social light in the darkness.

Saturday

Today is the funnest day of the week, don’t you think?

Today I plan on changing some burnt out bulbs in the kitchen (they’re those halogen bulbs that are so hard to replace but when two of four don’t work, it’s time to change them out, right?) then congratulating myself by doing such a hard job that I will spend the rest of the day surfing and learning to play “Warhammer Online” which I joined last week but have only gotten so far as installing the game. Look for me though, I am “Sheroars” in the realm (server) of Volkmar.

Spending time with the people you meet online, whether in a fantasy online game or the more reality of an online dating service, is all part of the social aspect of the “human condition”.

We need to be social. The hard part is realizing that the social aspect of our lives is often left open to inspection and questioning by others.

You need to let the opinions and ideas of others about you roll of your back like water off a duck.

You are the master of your own domain!

And with this realization of our uniqueness that we do share with others, let our dating ad headline reflect our wisdom:
“My aim is true!”

Have a great day!

One thing I like about EstablishedMen.com

One thing I like about EstablishedMen.com, a new “sugar daddy’ dating service that has started out of Toronto, Canada, is not the fact that they came 4 women for every male member, not that they have a simple registration process but that they have as an available feature a voicemail feature that is acccessible by using your phone as well accessing voice messages online.

Establishedmen.com is a dating service for well-to-do men to meet women that are looking for a lifestyle of fun and all the experiences that wealth can bring. Free trial for men and completely free membership for women.

Guys, get ready to meet some hot women!

Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Sunday

Lazy SundayFinally, the day to sit back, watch TV in pajamas and eat frozen dinners just because I’m lazy today.

Well, really, today is our Thanksgiving dinner (did I say I’m in Canada) and I’m planning on stuffing myself silly with turkey, potatoes and gravy. (No brussel sprouts, thank you.)

So, you can do one or the other with me. Your choice.

As well, add choices to your dating profile headline today. I suggest you post this:
“Door #1, #2, or #3… you tell me”.

Milding confusing and easy to have fun with. You’re welcome.

Have a great day!

Match.com Dating Service “A Big Tease”?

Does Match.com ‘stick it to the lovelorn’ by leaving inactive profiles on their website?

So says a lawsuit launched by a single Brooklyn man seeking $5 million in damages.

Attorney Norah Hart says her client, Sean McGinn, is hoping that the “crushed feeling” will not be felt by others hoping for a reply to winks and emails that never come.

Personally, I think that when you join Match.com, or most other online dating services, the requirement to send, receive and reply to emails and other introduction messages is spelled out quite clearly. And what does an “inactive member” look like? I would think that if you haven’t been logging in for 6 months then you’re inactive but I have an account with another major dating service that has not been active for years and I still receive the odd notification that someone has sent me a message.

So be it… Match.com does show with their profiles when someone has last logged in, beyond that, love is left to fate, I think, just as two people crossing opposite sides of the street never meet.

Plentyoffish.com Offline

For some unknown reason the free dating service, www.plentyoffish.com, has gone offline.
I am looking into any reason for this to be happening ans at this time have no other information.
The error page that shows up when attempting to connect with the Plentyoffish.com website is simply:
Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)

Great Expectations Takes Its Lumps

A big sentence by the Arizona Attorney General against “deceptive business practices” as reported here.

The lawsuit alleges that Great Expectations used coercive sales tactics, misrepresentations and other deceptive practices to sell expensive dating service memberships to Arizona consumers, typically costing thousands of dollars. The alleged illegal practices include:

* Misrepresenting to consumers the overall number of Great Expectations’ participating members, the number of participating members in certain age groups and the number of new members joining the service each month. Great Expectations also told consumers that two to three marriages occurred between members every month when it had no credible basis for such statements.
* Misrepresenting to consumers that it had conducted a criminal background check on all of its members.
* Using membership agreements that illegally extended initial memberships beyond one year and were designed to mislead consumers to believe they had no right to cancel or rescind the agreements.
* Unlawfully obtaining consumers’ credit information as soon as they arrived at the Great Expectations office to meet with a representative, before they received a sales presentation or agreed to purchase a membership.
* Using high-pressure sales tactics during one-on-one, hours-long presentations to consumers, during which sales representatives urged consumers to contact their credit card companies to get an increased credit limit sufficient to pay for a membership.

If you believe you have been a victim of fraud by Great Expectations or others, please contact the Attorney General’s Office… (editor:) in your state.
