Are Group Events The Next Logical Step To Online Dating?
Match.com has made a lot of news with their recent foray into board game nights and other events that brings members together.
But is this a good idea?
Online dating is for bring people together to find love.
Face-to-face events are for bringing people together to share a common interest that may not quite include looking for more than a possible game partner.
And if you meet someone on a dating service and go to meet them for the requisite coffee date you can always bow out early with some excuse or other.
But on a game night set up by your dating service, meeting with someone you first met online with the same intention of finding love, can your common game interest make up for any dating choice date you may have made of just meeting to play a game?
How do you walk out on a game without ruining your other chances with possible matches?
My suggestion here is to not search out your potential game play partners before you show up for game night.
Some times too much information can be a bad thing.
