Friday’s Conversation Topics

Are you ready to meet great people with interesting stories to share? So am I. And I’m always prepared to hold up my share of the conversations too because I read a lot. A real lot. Luckily for you I’m also the sharing type of guy so here’s my favorite news stories from the past week that make for interesting conversations.

- The note Apple gives to new hires on their first day of work. Inspirational indeed. I think I’m on my way to California now!

- “…there’ll be schnapps for all the guests.” This is my kind of party. Too bad the guest of honor foots all the bills, including the final one.

- Discovery of Mayan calendar calculations that cover more than 6,000 years puts to rest, maybe, the doomsday end of the world previously scheduled for this December. I just might have to pay all those credit card advances due in December after all.

- “Teacher, teacher… can you…blah blah…” I forgot the rest of the lyrics. But this little story should help to put the pants back on the teachers again and allow them to be better prepared for the old “iphone up the skirt trick”. Says a school administrator “But, the students have to serve the consequences for that and learn a lesson”. Damn.
