Dating Profile Headline of the Day

Dating: Stop watching from the audience.

Monday

** To my Canadian friends, Happy Thanksgiving!

Unless your dating is error prone, like the Atlanta Braves’ second baseman Brooks Conrad, dropping the ball is usually a recoverable offense. An apology can go a long way and if you learn from your mistakes you won’t have to get traded to another city to (hopefully) live down your mistakes.

So keep your errors to a minimum.

Be respectful. Be funny. Be yourself. And if you can’t be all three, be the first two.

If you haven’t had much luck with online dating then I have a few suggestions that will help you turn your fortunes around:
- Edit your profile and do it now. Make it less wordy, cut out a lot of the insignificant stuff and limit yourself to discussing two or three things about yourself without too much detail, after all, you do need to save something for your first date, right?
- Update all your photos and make sure you’re the only person in any of them. Be sure to have as your primary picture a head and shoulders picture and remember to smile nicely.
- Exchange three or four messages, not more, before either talking on the phone or meeting for a coffee date. Overextending the time that you email, instant message and chat online before meeting means you’ll have more opportunities to mess things up and turn the person off.
- Change your headline every few days. You never know which one is going to strike the attraction of the person you’re destined to meet, so give destiny a helping hand by posting a new profile headline regularly.

Today this is my headline suggestion for you:
“Life is a game that I intend to win!”

Have a great day!
